Life behind the camera came from being in front of the camera for Shay. As a career rodeo queen, many opportunities from the western way of life were afforded to be in front of her lens. Life behind the camera came after an internship with Sherry Smith Photography to photograph the Miss Rodeo Oklahoma Pageant—that resulted in years of working for Sherry and attending the Miss Rodeo America pageant with her in Las Vegas, Nevada. The years working for Sherry were where Shay gained many event photography tips and trades to entail ultimate capture experiences for clients. From artificial light to natural light, Shay is always trying to learn, and has hopes with goals to add more knowledge to her arsenal.

Rodeo and Packing Mules birthed this girls love of horses, and now she does every thing she can to capture the western way of life. From youth rodeos to the senior shoot with horses, Shay is here to deliver for you. Western events are not all this resume is made up of, Shay has captured a few western weddings and specializes in engagements; She is always up to capture a good love story!
